EZZE SIM is an Excel “Monte Carlo Simulator” Add-in which can be used to simulate any process
or operation that can be described mathematically ( mass and energy balances, relationships
developed from correlation analyses etc.). To help you get started. The "simulator" contains two
working Dryer (fluid bed & spray) simulations. The simulations can be adapted for use with your
drying application or as a template to develop your own process simulation using the step by step
instructions contained in the online users guide.
EZZE SIM's risk analysis uses both a spreadsheet model and simulation to automatically analyze
the effect of varying inputs to the modeled system. This is the power of simulation - you can make
plant trials (experiments) more efficient by prescreening your trial on the simulator to identify
potential problems and reduce the amount of information required.
Monte Carlo Simulations are "True Stochastic (random) Simulations" in that they describe the "final
state" of a model by just knowing the frequency distributions of the parameters describing the
"beginning state" and the appropriate metric that maps, or transforms, the beginning state to the
final state. With EZZE SIM there are nine different frequency distributions to choose from – you
even have two “randomizers” to simulate ‘process noise’. This combined with having SPC data
created of three user selected process variables generated by the simulation makes EZZE SIM a
powerful process analysis tool.
